Today was a snow day for me - so what did I do? Finish marking math tests (haha don't make me laugh), plan for next week (nope), clean my house (nope but I did finally but away the last of my winter decorations - even though we are in the middle of a snow storm). I made calendar cards that I don't really need but just kinda wanted - yep! I am loving my
superhero clipart from Melonheadz right now - and I don't really do St. Patrick's Day or Dr. Seuss as a theme in March, so I figured what the heck - superheroes it is! I am also thinking that next year I would like to go full force with the Superhero theme - so when better to get started then a snow day!

Thanks - sounds like you had a great day too! Going out to shovel now though :(
DeleteThe shoveling was awful!!! But, I spent my day much like you spent yours, heehee. I have so much school work to do, but who wants to waste a snow day on school work???

My Journey to 5th Grade
The shoveling is brutal - so heavy! Can't wait to see what you came up with today.
DeleteI'm the same way on a snow day. I always have big plans, but never quite manage to accomplish them. We had a big blizzard a couple weeks ago and had several days off. I managed to read several books and watch lots of reality trash TV... but not so much on the productivity. :) Hope you enjoyed your day, and stay warm!

Caffeine and Lesson Plans
The best part of the day - knowing that today was the day that I had not one, not two but three yard duties! Woohoo!
DeleteThat sounds like the perfect way to spend a snow day! The calendar cards turned out great!

DeleteHi, I'm trying to track down some awesome Canadian teacher bloggers who'd be interested in a blog hop for Canadian kids books with accompanying activities. Would you be interested in participating?

So glad that you found my blog!
DeleteThese are adorable! They are by far, my favorite calendar cards that I've seen. Only problem is, when I click the link, I can't find them. Are they still available? Hoping you are having a restful summer. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI put a new link into this blog post - I had taken them down but am happy to share them with you : )
