Back to School Goals and a Giveaway

I am still in shock that today is the last day in July!! Especially since our weather does not feel like summer at all : (

Even though I have another month of summer I am linking up with Jess at I Heart Recess for her monthly goals linky.

I am hoping that putting the goals out there will help me work a little harder towards meeting them (hmm...I guess that is why they make us post learning goals). So here they are:

Personal:  I am finding it hard to balance relaxing and enjoying my summer and family and getting house jobs done with blogging and creating and reading blogs and preparing for the school year and planning and you get the idea.  I need to work harder to achieve a workable balance that makes me and the rest of my family happy.

Organization:  I just started switching to a binder system in June - I hope to keep going. It is costly and a bit time consuming but I really like it so far...I just need to remember to put new resources into binders. Well and figure out a better storage system for center materials.

Planning:  I keep seeing all kinds of planners online and they look awesome but I think I would need to create something that fits my schedule and needs perfectly for me to really use it. I like using a binder so I can take things out - I am not sure about binding it. Also I have tried a lesson plan website but didn't really stick with it - may have to try that again.

Professional: I have invested time and money and tons of mental energy (and Pinterest time) on interactive notebooks and inquiry based lessons.

Students: Kids - they just wanna have fun - and since I'm a girl I just wanna have fun too!

Motto: ha!

If you are looking to get ready for BTS you may want to check out the 8 days of giveaways Jivey has organized on FB. Head over to her FB page now - it started today!!

  1. Achieving a balance can be very hard. Blogging and TPT can slowly start to take over your life! The first step is admitting you have a problem right? :)

  2. Balance is soooo hard. I just sat down to read blogs, sad I hadn't read any all day, and then I remembered why I hadn't. LOL
