Well, since the last time I posted the things I bought for my classroom I have not stopped buying. From the feedback I got from other teachers - you have been shopping too and sometimes need to explain why you needed to buy what you bought. So here is your chance. Link up with your purchases, show us what you bought, tell us why you bought it or how you are going to use it! Then we will totally validate your purchase, ooh and ahh over it, the way only other teachers can : )

Here are SOME of my recent purchases.
They are 2 for $1.00 at Dollar Tree. My plan is to use them for classroom supplies. Sharpened and Unsharpened pencils, rulers, whiteboard markers etc. I am still thinking about buying buckets for bucket filling I am just worried about how much space they will take up.
These foam pieces:
Another Dollar Tree purchase - 32 for $1.00. I read a blog post (that I can not find right now) about using foam pieces as coasters for water bottles to avoid the water bottle fall and spill phenomenon. I am going to give it a try.
These cable ties:
Again - Dollar Tree - $1.00!! I already posted how I was going to use these to attach back pack tags for my students - and I have a ton of them at home - white (or off white as seen in the above picture!!) - but these - these are bright colours - these match - these can be colour coordinated with the tags - these I had to have.
This hole puncher:
Bought it at Michaels - $9.99 but of course I had a 40% off coupon. It punches rectangles!!! I first heard about this from my friend Joanne at Head Over Heels for Teaching. It is perfect for making banners - the ribbon fits through the rectangle hole and lies perfectly. I have wanted one since she mentioned it (she has all the best tools!!) and now I have one. I am afraid my classroom might be over run with banners this year!! This is my exit ticket banner getting the rectangle hole punch treatment.
We went to a surplus store and I scored these:
Two huge packs of a paper for $1.99 each. They will be perfect for a writing center or to go with craftivities or even for math problem solving (make a model and explain your model!). Very happy with this find : )
Last one, these notebooks:
Dollar Tree - $1.25 each - very jealous when I hear about sales from other bloggers!! I only bought 6 for shared journal writing but I am debating going back to get a whole class set. I am not sure if I want them as journals or INB's - I like the open space at the top but wonder if that is necessary for INB's. Can't think too long or they will be gone.
So grab the button and link up. The linky is open all month and will be back the last Wednesday of each month (because my school shopping is not limited to BTS!). Be sure to check out some of the other posts and give them some validation and love : )
