Back when she was adorable (she thinks she still is)! |
She wanted to be a guest blogger and here she is to share a technology tip.
Hi, my name is Gillian. I am in grade six. I like to draw, go camping and make crafts. Today I want to tell you about Bitstrips. This is a super fun way to do projects. First you make a class account then everyone makes an avatar for themselves. Next you put your avatar into comic strips. Your teacher has to approve them before they can be posted in the gallery so the teacher can check if they are inappropriate. Last year we made energy conservation comics. This year we are making comics about space exploration.
Here is my avatar.
With this program you can create other characters to add to your comic. You can add your classmates' avatars to your comics. You can change backgrounds, add props and make comics with different amounts of frames. My favorite thing to do is create characters. I like to change their facial expressions and poses when they are in the comics.
Here is a sample comic from the website.
My mom uses this website with her class. She likes it because you can assign activities to your class from the ones listed on the website. There are lots of different subjects you can use the comics for.
I think you should check out this website, your class would love it. : )
Happy Birthday! Thank you for sharing this idea. I would love to see one of your sample projects. Hope the rest of your birthday is great!
