I have been reading many blogs on resolutions for the new year. I thought I would take a minute to reflect on what I am doing before I plan what to do next year. Obviously it is the holidays, the time when I tell myself I will get all sorts of things done. Things around the house, things for my girls, things for school, things online.
Here are a few things I should be doing:
1) organizing my basement
2) cleaning my house
3) laundry
4) dealing with this
or this (school work!!!)
What I have actually been doing....
Getting more books for my classroom from the public library (but still not planning!!)
Playing with my new Cricut!
Reading just for fun!!
Just dancing to Rock Lobster with my daughter.
Making new calendar cards. If you too are interested in crossing random things off your to do list (or just doing things that are not even on your list like me) you can pick up and print off these cards too. They are over at my FB page.
I have big plans to be more organized and motivated next year! I still have one day, right?!?
This is too funny! I'm doing the same thing...a bunch of thing that aren't on my to-do list! Happy New Year to you!!

I like your currently doing list waaaay more than your "should do" list. :) It's vacation! Although, I am so with you- there is SO MUCH I should be doing right now. Maybe Santa will send some elves back to clean up the decorations? :)

To do lists are meant to be broken! You know just as well as the rest of us that that list will never ever have an end to it. There is no possible way to cross every item off that list. It's impossible for teachers. You got your Bloglovin' feed down. That is an accomplishment in itself!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time! I'm proud of you for having FUN! XO

Funny. Sometimes I wonder why I make a to do list. I always seem to get a lot done... just not necessarily the things that are on my list.

AMC it is soooo very nice to know that I am not the only one who isn't doing her "to do" list!
ReplyDeleteI have projects I must work on and am totally procrastinating!
Happy New Year my friend!

Pssshhh you're doing exactly what you need to be doing on break! And Wood on the new cricut!! :) Erin
ReplyDeleteI don't even have a to do list, which is very very bad for me. I had a one track mind and now I'll have to deal with making a list and then trying to cross things off! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteLove the calendar pieces! I recognize some of those backgrounds! Yay!

You are not the only one who is not crossing things off your to do list as fast as they would like! I am also reading just for fun, and I am really happy about it. I told my hubby today it feels good to read just because I want to and not because of PD reasons.
